Environmental management and sensitivity is an integral part of the way we do our work. Our commitment to sound environmental practices, supported and promoted by our leadership team, is the individual and collective responsibility of all InStar employees.
We achieve our environmental goals through a balanced environmental compliance program, making the following Environmental Policy Statement an integral part of our operating philosophy.
To fulfill our commitment to the environment, InStar will strive to:
- Comply with all federal, state and local environmental laws, codes, regulations and permits applicable to our business and activities.
- Make environmental compliance an integral part of our planning, budgeting, sourcing and decision-making process.
- Communicate InStar's Environmental Policy Statement to employees at all levels.
- Communicate our commitment to environmental compliance to subcontractors, clients, consultants and other contributors to our work.
- Minimize the risks to the environment from unplanned or unauthorized hazardous releases.
- Manage our operations in a manner consistent with prevention of pollution.
- Monitor our own environmental performance through a systematic program of internal and external environmental compliance audits.
- Continually improve our environmental performance.
